Cell C launches EDGE

South Africa’s third mobile operator Cell C has upgraded its GSM network to enhanced data rates for global evolution (EDGE) technology. According to its chairman and CEO, Talaat Laham, the cellco can now provide EDGE coverage to 90% of metropolitan area.
