3G base just shy of 100,000

According to the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) of Singapore, the number of 3G mobile subscribers in the country more than doubled in the four months ending 30 October to 96,900, compared with just 37,500 in July. Singapore Telecommunications reported ‘over 30,000 3G subscribers’ at the end of September, while StarHub said it had 22,981. The third operator, MobileOne claimed 12,500 3G customers. SingTel and MobileOne both launched their 3G services in February, while StarHub followed suit two months later.
