The total number of mobile customers in Hungary grew by 29,000 in October to reach 9.103 million at the end of the month, according to data from the National Communications Authority (NHH). Market leader T-Mobile saw its market share fall to 45.42%, from 45.48% a month earlier, while Pannon GSM claimed 33.79% of the market (33.86% at the end of September) and Vodafone claimed 20.79% (20.66%). Thanks to the introduction of mobile number portability (MNP) in May 2004, 4,663 users switched service providers in October. During the first ten months of 2005, a total of 45,339 switches took place.
