23 Nov 2005

Telenor has announced that it is to increase data transmission speeds for all of its ADSL subscribers in Norway free of charge. The firm says it is also reducing the monthly fee for its top-end 6Mbps product from NOK549 to NOK499, while the budget market will be served by the introduction of a new 700kbps service which will cost NOK299 a month. Other packages include a 1.5Mbps service for NOK349 a month and a 3Mbps service for NOK419. The speed upgrades will begin immediately and are due to be completed by next March.
