Axtel plans USD369 million offer

Mexican local and long-distance operator Axtel is planning a USD369 million share sale, with 151.4 million shares issued in a dual public offering in Mexico and the US. The firm has still fix a date for the sale which is being handled by Banamex and Credit Suisse First Boston. Axtel is the largest alternative wireline operator in Mexico, with 567,191 lines in service at the end of September, well behind the market leader Telmex which controls around 18.1 million connections.
