Telstra to roll out nationwide 3G

Telstra Mobile has revealed plans to roll out its 3G network to the entire country within the next three years, having contracted Ericsson for the build-out. Under the terms of the deal Ericsson will deliver and deploy radio access equipment, core infrastructure and services. The network will be HSDPA capable. The cellco, which currently operates in major capital cities, hopes to be the first in the country to offer a nationwide 3G service.
