The Malta Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises (GRTU) has asked Maltese telecoms regulators, the Office for fair Competition (OFC) and the Malta Communications Authority (MCA), to investigate the two mobile operators in the country – Vodafone and Go Mobile – on the grounds of ‘abuse of their duopoly position in the market’. The move comes after the two cellcos decided to reduce the retailers’ commission on the sale of their mobile offerings from 7% to 5%.
