TDC launches ‘Fly’ 3G services

7 Nov 2005

Denmark’s largest cellco TDC Mobil today launched 3G mobile services for residential and business customers over a W-CDMA network covering Copenhagen and three other Danish cities. The company has announced that it will extend coverage to other cities and towns in a phased rollout programme. 3G handset users have access to TDC Mobil’s internet portal, Fly, in addition to high speed internet services and video telephony. In an attempt to boost initial take-up the cellco cut data transmission tariffs by more than half at the beginning of September. The consumer launch follows the introduction of 3G data cards for TDC’s business users early last month.
