FiberTel launches in Bahía Blanca

Argentine broadband ISP FiberTel has expanded its services to Bahía Blanca in Buenos Aires province after investing ARS5 million (USD1.67 million) in new network infrastructure, reports BNamericas. In the first phase of the rollout the company has extended coverage to 16,210 homes in the city. FiberTel now has an internet customer base of 175,000 users and provides services in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area as well as the provinces of Buenos Aires, La Plata, Córdoba, Rosario, Campana, Río Cuarto, Santa Fe and Pergamino. Its parent company CableVisión is Argentina’s largest cable operator with around 30% of the market.
