Regulator rocks Radiomóvel

27 Oct 2005

Portugal’s telecoms regulator Anacom has suspended a broadband internet service offered by Radiomóvel. The regulator says the telco’s Zapp wireless broadband service, which is based on CDMA450 technology, should be offered only to closed user groups. Telecompaper reports that Anacom also found problems with the numbering system used. Radiomóvel has a history of disagreements with the watchdog; it took Anacom to court after waiting a year to gain authorisation for its fixed wireless service.
