Mobile helps Telenor

Telenor says mobile services were behind a 13% rise in third-quarter revenues which reached NOK17.6 billion. Pre-tax profits were up 27% year-on-year to NOK3.79 billion. The Norwegian telco’s domestic and international cellular operations had a total of 74.5 million subscribers at the end of September, up 7.4 million in three months; subscriptions at consolidated companies were up by 3.1 million to 27.9 million. Telenor says it now has a 66% share of its domestic fixed line market, a fall of one percentage point since September 2004.
