Anatel puts 3.5Ghz and 10.5Ghz licences up for sale

Brazilian regulator Anatel has launched an auction for new licences in the 3.5GHz and 10.5GHz bands. The country’s top three fixed line telcos – Telemar, Brasil Telecom and Telefonica – are expected to bid for a licence, as are cable TV operators TVA and Net Servicos, according to local press reports. Anatel hopes to have completed the process by 6 December, with bidders required to present their technical and financial offers by 21 November.
