Vivo expects 130,000 Pantech handsets by year-end

According to Chinese newspaper, China News Digest, Brazilian cellco Brasilcel, which operates under the Vivo brand name, has said it expects to receive around 130,000 CDMA handsets from Korea’s Pantech by the end of 2005, part of a BRL80 million (USD35.5 million) deal for a total of 200,000 handsets which was struck in July. Pantech already provides handsets to rival operators Claro and TIM.
