Centennial to deploy VoIP

19 Oct 2005

Centennial has contracted Nortel Networks to deploy VoIP technology over its networks in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. The aim is to converge multiple voice and data networks on the two islands to a single IP-based infrastructure. Centennial is reported to be investing USD160 million to upgrade its networks this year, much of which will be channelled into improving wireless coverage in the metropolitan San Juan area.
