Qatar Telecom (Q-Tel) has contracted Doha-based Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) to build it a nationwide radio communications network for use by the country’s military, police and security agencies. CGC will work in tandem with wireless network test and measurement company Rohde & Schwarz. CGC has previously built a small-scale network for Q-Tel in the northern industrial city of Ras Laffan.
