3Com launches VoIP

According to technology magazine Computerworld, UK-based equipment supplier 3Com has developed a VoIP system for the Brazilian government’s small firms company Sebrae. The new service will enable Sebrae to transmit date, voice and images to its regional units across a single system. It is due to be rolled out in May 2006 and has cost 3Com around BRL2 million (USD900,000) to develop.
