New Fijian operator launches wireless broadband service

Unwired Fiji has launched the country’s first privately owned broadband wireless network, offering high speed internet access to consumers in the Suva and Lami areas. Unwired has been planning the launch since 2001 and says it is now able to offers its customers wireless connections ranging from 64kbps to 1Mbps without the need for a landline connection.
