Telecom’s converged future

7 Oct 2005

Telecom New Zealand’s chief executive has outlined a vision of converged services at the company’s annual meeting. Theresa Gattung says fixed-mobile packages and integrated handsets will play an important part in Telecom’s future strategy. Broadband services too are seen as key drivers of growth, and Gattung revealed that the telco is on track to meet its target of having 250,000 broadband subscribers at the end of the year. She added that the rollout of the company’s CDMA2000 3G networks will be 80% complete by the same date.
