Denmark’s largest telecoms service provider TDC says it is launching an aggressive campaign to grab a slice of Sweden’s residential broadband and telephony market, as part of a concerted plan to expand the Danish company’s footprint for voice, broadband and TV services across the entire Nordic region. The key to its strategy will be a series of new simple, low-cost tariffs which it hopes will challenge the incumbent operators. ‘We want to set a new standard for how cheap and simple it can be to buy broadband and telephony in the Swedish market. We will always be able to deliver quality products at competitive prices,’ said Gert Rieder, Director, TDC Residential. The launch in Sweden is based on TDC’s experience from the Telmore and easyMobile business models in the UK and soon the German and Dutch markets.
