Optus launches combined fixed/mobile service

SingTel Optus has launched a new phone plan, offering its customers a combined mobile and fixed line service, in a bid to steal market share from its rival Telstra. The new service is being provided under the banner OptusOne, with two price plans available: the AUD99 (USD75) option has no line rental charge, and includes 150 local calls, AUD120 worth of mobile credit and AUD120 worth of long distance calls, while the AUD69 plan includes line rental, 120 local calls and AUD120 worth of mobile phone calls.
