BT raises German business profile

29 Sep 2005

BT Group has agreed to buy the 82% stake in Infonet Deutschland that it does not own from Deutsche Telekom unit T-Systems, taking its total holding in the business services provider to 100%. BT, which did not disclose the value of the deal, said the move follows its acquisition of California-based Infonet Services Corp earlier this year. Infonet Deutschland, which employs 61 workers, provides VPNs and other network services to more than 200 corporate and public sector customers in Germany.
