Deutsche Telekom in TETRA tie-up

27 Sep 2005

UK-based developer of terrestrial trunked radio (TETRA) solutions, Sepura, has formed a partnership with Deutsche Telekom to cooperate on commercial TETRA projects in Germany. The venture will be aimed at promoting the adoption of the wireless technology in a range of commercial sectors including transport and utilities.

TETRA was developed to meet the needs of radio communications users requiring one-to-one and one-to-many voice and data transmission. Users are typically public safety and security organisations such as police, ambulance, fire and rescue services, as well as commercial airports, logistics companies, energy utilities and courier services.
