Vietnamese Prime Minister Phan Van Khai has sacked the head of state-owned telco Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications (VNPT), Vu Van Luan, over allegations of bribery, according to local press reports. Luan left the job a few days after police interrogated him about illegal price fixing relating to equipment contracts. However, according to a VNPT official, he retired from the post as he had reached the age of 60.
