An official for Sri Lanka’s Telecommunications Ministry says two local communications companies, Lanka Internet and Tritel, have been issued with licences enabling them to provide fixed line services using CDMA technology. Rival operators Sri Lanka Telecom, Suntel and Lanka Bell have already been awarded similar concessions.
