Finnish equipment supplier Nokia has revealed plans to develop its mobile services in Taiwan. The company recently opened its first 3G-based Mobile Services Development Centre in the country, and has started a joint programme with the Institute for Information Industry for the establishment of local training centres. It has also entered a deal with Chunghwa Telecom to launch the country’s first mobile film festival, showing brief videos, termed ‘mobisodes’, specifically designed to be watched on a mobile phone.
