Huawei and Etisalat working on NGN technology rollout

Chinese manufacturer Huawei Technologies and Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) are working together to establish next generation network (NGN) systems capable of offering integrated voice, data and video communications services in the UAE. NGN technology blends traditional PSTN and public data switched networks (PSDNs) to create a single multi-service network that will help reduce costs and fulfil latent demand for voice and data convergence, whilst simultaneously allowing operators to take advantage of developing technologies.
