Bell Canada rolls out VoIP double

9 Sep 2005

Bell Canada has launched two new VoIP products aimed at the consumer market. Bell Digital Voice is being rolled out in Hamilton and the Greater Toronto area, and is being marketed as a reliable substitute for traditional fixed line services but with advanced features. The so-called ‘lite’ version of the product is being positioned as a secondary line and being sold across Ontario and Quebec. Prices for the VoIP services undercut the telco’s traditional circuit switched products, a strategy designed to encourage consumers not to switch to cable companies for their telephony services.
