Beltelecom contracts Ericsson for modernisation

Belarusian fixed line telco Beltelecom has contracted Ericsson to supply equipment for the modernisation of its network. Ericsson has supplied USD3 million worth of equipment to the telcosince January 2005, including around 430,000 AXE-10 lines. Under the new deal, Ericsson will supply an AXE switchboard for the Gomel city telephone network. The deployment is expected to be completed by December.
