Japan and China to team up for 4G

According to Japanese regulator the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Commnications (MIC), Japan and China have agreed to collaborate for the development of 4G mobile phones. The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding under which they have agreed to work together to develop and standardise 4G handsets. The development is not expected to properly get off the ground until 2007.
