ITPC and GlobeComm agree new international voice contract

National wireline monopoly Iraqi Telecommunication and Post Company (ITPC) has extended its contract with US-owned satellite communications provider GlobeComm for the provision of international voice services by one year. Under the deal GlobeComm will continue to carry international voice traffic in and out of Iraq; it has provided the service for the past eighteen months and has been working with IPTC to expand the country’s fixed line network.
