Taiwanese ISP PC Home Online is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Skype’s VoIP service in the country with the launch of a new incoming international call service SkypeIn. There are now more than 2.3 million Skype users in Taiwan. SkypeIn customers are given a phone number that can be dialled from conventional fixed and mobile phones in one of eight countries – Hong Kong, US, UK, France, Poland, Sweden, Finland and Denmark – and received by their computers. The service offers outgoing calls at around a third of the cost of a traditional fixed line service.
