Nokia aims high with CDMA phones

25 Aug 2005

Finnish equipment vendor Nokia is aiming to become one of the top three suppliers of CDMA handsets in China. Although Nokia is the largest handset supplier in the Chinese market, the bulk of its sales come from GSM models and it offers just three low-end CDMA phones to Chinese customers; firms such as Motorola and Samsung claim a lead in the CDMA sector. SinoCast reports, however, that the Finnish company is aiming to introduce new models in China to capture market share at all levels of the CDMA handset market.
