Interlink expands VoIP operations with Ecuadorean subsidiary

US-based international carrier Interlink Global has set up a new subsidiary operation in Ecuador to handle VoIP and related IP services in the country. The unit, Interlink Ecuador, is owned equally by the Miami-based company and local partners including the entrepreneur Patricio Burbano and Guillermo Martinez, an Ecuadorean telecoms engineer and businessman with interests in radio-relay ventures across the country. Interlink Global expects to generate revenues and profits of USD1.8 million and USD209,500 respectively, over the remainder of the year, with full-year sales and net income of USD13.1 million and USD2.6 million predicted for 2006.
