Sony Ericsson’s Brazilian unit has said that it hopes to sell around two million handsets this year, tripling the number sold in 2004. The company has introduced two models for the Brazilian market alone, and a further two for the whole Latin American region. It plans to launch a third handset in Brazil by the end of 2005. Sony Ericsson aims to achieve a 7% share of the global mobile phone market this year.
