Magyar Telekom reports net profit boost

Magyar Telekom (formerly Matav) has reported a 36.6% increase in net profit for the first half of 2005 from HUF30.29 billion to HUF41.38 billion. Revenues for the six month period grew by 0.7% to HUF299.9 billion, with growth from mobile and data offsetting falls in international and domestic voice traffic. EBITDA fell 3.8% to HUF62.6 billion.
