KDDI to sell Pantech handsets

11 Aug 2005

KDDI has announced plans to begin selling low-priced 3G handsets made by South Korean company Pantech by the end of this year. The operator has yet to set a price for the models but says that they will cost less than domestically produced handsets. It hopes the move will improve its product attractiveness in preparation of mobile number portability (MNP) next year.
