Celtel expands workforce

11 Aug 2005

Zambia’s largest mobile operator Celtel says it plans to double its workforce in the coming months to help with its expansion into new coverage areas. The firm, which employs around 280 staff, says it intends to add between 200 and 300 new workers. Celtel spokesperson Bridget Nundwe told the Lusaka Post: “The reason for this is that we want to be in all the 72 districts by December 2005 and we have so far managed to expand into 28 districts over the last three months.”
