Coscom awards Alcatel GSM deal

Uzbeki wireless network operator Coscom has awarded Alcatel a ‘multi-million’ euro contract for the expansion of its GSM/GPRS network. A subsidiary of Russia’s MCT, Coscom claims the deal will substantially increase its network capacity and provide it with an easy path to 3G.
