Broadband newcomer expecting customer surge

Irish Broadband says it is signing up more than 400 new users every week and expects this number to rise dramatically in the second half of the year as it forges ahead with its plan to achieve near nationwide coverage by the end of the year. Irish Broadband has recently signed a EUR1.3 million contract with US equipment supplier Navini Networks for the supply of wireless base stations and modems to help improve the coverage and saturation of its wireless network, which is offered under the brand name Ripwave. The company, which has been expanding its service coverage for three years, currently offers services to business and residential users in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Drogheda and Dundalk.
