New Law on Telecommunications

Belarusian President Lukashenko has signed the country’s amended Law on Telecommunications, which sets out a new framework for telecoms regulations aimed at increasing the functioning and development of telecommunications networks in the country. In particular the Law will introduce centralised state control of radio frequencies spectrum and numbering, and fees for use of radio frequencies. It will be implemented on 12 August.
