Telefónica charge change

4 Aug 2005

Spanish cellular operator Telefónica Móviles is to alter its call charges to bring it into line with its local rivals Vodafone and Amena. Dow Jones Newswires reports that the telco is to begin charging customers in 30-second blocks after the first minute of each call rather on a per-second basis after the first minute as it does currently. Telefónica had 19.38 million subscribers at the end of June.
