Q-Telecom boosts Info Quest performance

Greek integrated telecoms services operator Q-Telecom reported a 50% rise in revenues to EUR70 million in the first six months of the year, and a doubling in EBITDA to EUR12 million, helping boost its parent company Info Quest’s consolidated sales and pre-tax profits to over EUR240 million and EUR16 million respectively. Q-Telecom is currently up for sale and in talks with a group of private equity funds that have offered EUR250 million for the company. The operator, which had 69,082 fixed line and 793,506 mobile subscribers at the end of March, is expected to generate revenues of EUR150 million in 2005.
