Colombian cable TV provider TCB is planning to offer voice telephony over its cable broadband network in the capital, Bogotá, according to BNamericas. TCB has invested over USD4.3 million in the new service after being issued a batch of 40,000 telephone numbers by the regulator, the CRT, earlier this year. The company was the first to launch CATV in the country in 1987 and also the first to roll out broadband connections ten years later.
