Vivo gets Flash

Brazilian mobile operator Vivo has selected Flash Networks to provide it with a network optimisation and data acceleration platform on its 3G network. In a USD1 million deal, which could be increased by several million dollars, Flash, which was founded in 1996, will deploy its network solution to provide customers with real-time e-mail, internet, internet, audio, video and music file downloading capability. Vivo is the largest wireless operator in Brazil with a customer base of around 27 million.
