Tele2 plans EUR100m spend

Swedish-based pan-European fixed line and wireless operator Tele2 says it is to ramp up its sales and marketing activities in France. According to Dow Jones, the firm plans to spend up to EUR100 million pushing its mobile and broadband services in France in the second half of this year. Tele2’s chief executive, Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, told the news agency: “When we push the pedal in France we will see results.” The Swedish telco operates in France via wholesale agreements with mobile operator Orange and broadband supplier neuf telecom.
