22 Jul 2005

The head of Italy’s communications authority AGCOM, Corrado Calabro, says the country is leading the take-up of 3G services in Europe with more than four million UMTS users signed up so far. The bulk of those customers are using the W-CDMA service of Hutchison Whampoa’s H3G Italia, which had 3.56 million users at the end of March.
