Cyta ignores order; keeps prices low

18 Jul 2005

Cyta has gained court approval to sidestep an order issued by the Cyprus Communication Commission to raise its mobile phone rates. The telco appealed to the Supreme Court last week, which ruled in its favour and annulled the order, ruling out the threat of a CYP5,000-a-day fine for not implementing it. Cyta’s rates will remain low at CYP0.039 a minute.
