UTStarcom inks China deals worth USD185 million

UTStarcom, an IP-based networking solutions and services provider based in Alameda in the US, has signed contracts worth around USD185.2 million with China Telecom Corp. The first contract, worth around USD100 million, will expand the telco’s IP-based Personal Access System (iPAS) networks in the provinces of Zhejiang, Hubei, Shanghai, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and Yunnan. The second contract, worth USD85.2 million, is for the provision of PAS handsets.
