Singtel’s Australian fixed and mobile subsidiary Optus has seen its revenues growing faster than the Australian market as a whole during 2005, and is set to continue this trend in the medium term, according to a recent report released by the company. The operator, saw revenue for fiscal 2005 grow 8.9% to AUD6.92 billion, plans to launch 3G services across the country by the end of 2005, as well as roll out its own broadband network, reducing its reliance on rival Telstra’s network.
