Asiacell confident of doubling its subscribers

Iraqi cellco Asiacell has reported this week that its subscriber base has reached 800,000, and that it expects the number to nearly double to 1.5 million by the end of the year. The prediction is based on soaring demand for mobile phones in the troubled country as well as an expected gradual increase in average incomes.
